Project Fireball
Project Fireball, Goodyear’s colossal tire distribution center, spreads over an impressive 1,514,040 sq ft area. This state-of-the-art facility has been intelligently designed to optimize function and space.
Facility Features
- Durable Foundations: Martin Concrete constructed the foundations, slab on grade, and tilt-up wall panels, as well as oversaw the concrete paving, ensuring structural robustness.
- 6” Ductilcrete Slab on Grade: A 6” Ductilcrete slab on grade lies at the heart of the facility, underlining the center’s sturdy construction.
- Dock Apron and Pits: The cross-dock facility comprises 270,720 sq ft of dock apron and pits, optimizing operational efficiency.
- On-Site Concrete Production Assistance: The MC ReadyMix, a division of Martin Concrete, offered invaluable on-site aid in concrete production to uphold quality standards.
- Wall Panels: The building was completed using 248 panels, ranging from 7 ¼” to 9” thick, and were erected with the assistance of Martin Concrete’s Full-Tilt Crane Services division.
